About this Falling Waters Mangave
Mangave 'Falling Waters' is a cascading hybrid from the Mad About Mangaves® series developed by Terra Nova Nurseries, crossing Manfreda and Agave. Unlike the upright, symmetrical rosettes typical of most agaves and mangaves, 'Falling Waters' produces long, arching, strap-like leaves that drape outward and downward in a fountain-like cascade — the trait that gives the cultivar its name. The foliage is a medium olive-green with soft maroon spotting that intensifies in higher light, and the leaf margins carry small, widely-spaced teeth. Like all mangaves it is not monocarpic, offsets freely, and grows considerably faster than a true agave. It works particularly well in containers or raised beds where the draping habit can show to full effect.
Picked up at TLC Nursery in late March 2026. The trailing growth habit is genuinely unlike most anything else in the collection and should make it a standout on the back patio.
